Family Community Educational Ministries A Letter from Our Director…
Children are special to God, and that is why I have always felt called to minister to them. In Mark’s gospel we see a picture of Jesus presented when some parents brought their children to Him so He could touch them and bless them. The parents realized that with Jesus’ touch, their children’s lives could be transformed. Of course, the disciples were concerned that the parents’ were disturbing Jesus. Even though children had very little value in the Biblical days, Jesus spoke these words: “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I assure you, anyone who doesn’t have their kind of faith will never get into the Kingdom of God. (Mark 10: 14b-15). Then the most unusual thing happened: An adult (Jesus) took the children into His arms and placed His hands on their heads and blessed them. (Mark 10:16).
